BRUSSELS - Slovenian Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor is to attend a meeting of his EU candidate countries counterparts with President of the European Parliament Pat Cox. The meeting is scheduled for 3 PM, while a press conference has been foreseen for 6:30 PM.

BRUSSELS - Slovenia and the EU are to begin a new, third round of the final accession negotiations, whereupon the EU is to offer a compromise package deal on the financial aspects of membership. Slovenia is to begin negotiations at 8 AM, with a press conference scheduled in Brussels for 9:15 AM.

LJUBLJANA - An expert debate on corporate crime is to be addressed by Interior Minister Rado Bohinc, Finance Minister Anton Rop, Justice Minister Ivo Bizjak, President of the Supreme Court Mitja Deisinger, State Prosecutor General Zdenka Cerar, Director General of the Police Marko Pogorevc, head of Slovenia's security and intelligence agency SOVA Iztok Podbregar, head of the money laundering prevention office Klaudij Stroligo and head of the corruption prevention office Bostjan Penko. The conference is to start at 9 AM.

BLED - A two-day conference on Slovenia's agriculture in light of EU membership is to conclude at Bled. Agriculture Minister Franci But is to outline Slovenia's policy in 2003.

LJUBLJANA - A round table on Slovenia and NATO after the Prague summit is to be held at the Faculty of Social Sciences at 6 PM. The debate is to involve Defence Minister Anton Grizold and several faculty professors.

LJUBLJANA - The 18th Slovenian book fair is to be launched at 6 PM. The show is to be opened to the public between 27 November and 1 December.

LJUBLJANA - Slovenian Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to give a press conference at 10 AM and explain the details about the international conference of ombudsmen to be held in Ljubljana between 5 and 7 December.
