Press Comments on Haider's Fall in Austrian General Elections

Ljubljana/Maribor, 26 November - Two Slovenian dailies comment Tuesday on the outcome of Sunday's Austrian general elections, which saw the conservative People's Party of outgoing Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel take over 42 percent of the vote. Meanwhile, the People's Party previous coalition partner, the populist Freedom Party, suffered a defeat as they lost around 17 percentage points in comparison to the previous elections.
