Ljubljana, 28 November - "This new development in the construction of the banking sector should, at first sight, have positive effects for various reasons. Most of all, a merger of (the only) two state-owned banks should be economical," a daily comments on Wednesday's news report about talks on a merger of Slovenia's second and tenth largest banks, namely Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor (NKBM) and Postna banka Slovenije (PBS).
