Conference in Italy Analyses Opportunities Brought on by Slovenia's EU Accession

Trieste, 30 November - Slovenia's accession to the EU will not represent great or negative changes for the Italian border region Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG). However, the question remains whether local authorities are aware of the opportunity that EU enlargement offers to this region, participants of a conference on "Slovenia on the Way to the EU: How Is the East Border Changing?" wondered in the Italian port city of Trieste.
