Ljubljana, 1 December - As latest unofficial results show, Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek received 56.01 percent of the vote after 43.28 percent of the vote was counted. If officially confirmed, his victory is most likely to trigger a series of replacements in the executive branch. Drnovsek has already announced his plan to step down as prime minister on Monday, 2 December. As his Liberal Democrats have announced, Anton Rop, the incumbent finance minister, is his most likely successor.
