STA Coverage on Thursday, 5 December

Ljubljana, 4 December - The STA English service will cover the following events on Thursday, 5 December:

LJUBLJANA - Slovenian President Milan Kucan is to receive LDS candidate for prime minister designate at 9 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) is to stage an annual meeting of its European electoral members between 5 and 7 December in Ljubljana. About 59 participants from 28 countries are expected to represent 38 institutions at the conference. The opening speeches will be delivered by Slovenian Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor and Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek. The meeting is to start at 4 PM.

BELGRADE - Slovenian FM Dimitrij Rupel is to visit Yugoslavia and attend the opening of the new Mercator shopping centre at 12:30 AM. The honourary speakers will be Mercator chairman Zoran Jankovic, FM Rupel and his Yugoslavian counterpart Goran Svilanovic.

ZAGREB - A round table of Slovenian and Croatian businessmen at 2 PM is to be attended by first men of major Slovenian and Croatian companies.
