Chess Olympiad at Bled a Record Tournament of All Times
Ljubljana, 6 December - "For the first time in the history of chess olympiads, all games were transmitted live on the Internet and for the first time ever, doping control was introduced in chess. 44 players were tested, while one Russian and one Finn refused to be tested. After 42 analyses at a Cologne laboratory, all samples were negative," has said Boris Kutin, director of the 35th Chess Olympiad held at Bled, NW Slovenia, between 25 October and 10 November.
