26 Fatal Accidents in the Slovenian Mountains from January to October
Ljubljana, 6 December - In the first ten months of 2002, the Slovenian Mountain Rescue Service (GRS) intervened in 229 rescue actions, 26 searches and 10 investigations. Mountain rescuers offered their help to 290 persons, as opposed to 269 persons over the same period last year. Between January and October, 26 persons lost their lives, while 183 suffered injuries, which is 37 more than last year, GRS said at Thursday's press conference.
