STA Coverage on Wednesday, 11 December

Ljubljana, 10 December - The STA English service will cover the following events on Wednesday, 11 December:

LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to convene for an extraordinary session at 10 AM to take a vote on the candidate for prime minister-designate Anton Rop (expected at 3 PM). Changes to the 2003 and 2004 budgets are also on the agenda.

COPENHAGEN - Outgoing Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek is to leave for Copenhagen ahead of the EU summit, where he is to attend a meeting of European officials from liberal, democratic and reform parties late in the afternoon.

OSILNICA/GEROVO - The first local border crossing between Slovenia and Croatia, which is to start functioning on 6 January 2003, is to be opened by outgoing Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel and his Croatian counterpart Tonino Picula at 10 AM. A working meeting is to follow and statements are to be given to the press at 11.35 AM.
