Coalition and Opposition Split over the Budget

Ljubljana, 12 December - Holding the second-day of an extraordinary budget session, Slovenia's parliament was acquainted Thursday with the proposed budgets for 2003 and 2004. Although the session was postponed for a while, it has become clear that opposition parties do not intend to support the two budgets. However, the proposed financial plans are expected to be adopted with sufficient coalition support.
