Ljubljana, 16 December - The STA English service will cover the following events on Monday, 16 December:

LJUBLJANA - The 11 ministerial candidates proposed by Prime Minister designate Anton Rop are to undergo hearings by the relevant parliamentary bodies. In comparison to the outgoing government, the list of candidates includes three new names, namely candidate for finance minister Dusan Mramor, candidate for education minister Slavko Gaber and ministerial candidate without portfolio responsible for regional development Zdenka Kovac. Other five candidates will be heard by the parliamentary committees on Tuesday.

LJUBLJANA - Outgoing Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to talk to the press at noon about the recent EU summit in Copenhagen. The achievements in Slovenia's foreign policy over the past two years as well as its chief aims and tasks until the end of 2004 are to be presented.

LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's Europe Minister and chief EU accession negotiator Janez Potocnik, together with members of his negotiating team, is to hold a public presentation of a five-year process of EU accession negotiations entitled "Slovenia joins the EU" at 10 AM. The negotiators are to present the content and results of the EU accession negotiations and outline their work in the future.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Institute for Macroeconomic Analyses and Development (IMAD) is to present its 2002 autumn report, which is an analytical explanation of the autumn forecast of future economic trends with a detailed illustration of the current ones.
