Kucan Will Commit Himself to the Benefit of the Country When he Retires

Ljubljana, 20 December - Slovenia will get the first former president on 23 December, when Milan Kucan will be replaced by Janez Drnovsek after serving two full terms. Although his departure is impending, Kucan still does not know what he will do after he retires. There are some ideas, but their realisation largely depends on what people running the country expect from him, he said in an interview for STA. "If there is no interest, if everything is up to me, I will try to commit myself where I believe it could be useful and benefit the country," he explained.
