Milan Kucan left his place to former PM Janez Drnovsek, while the latter's position has been assumed by former Finance Minister Anton Rop. Smooth and without particular complications. As in the old times of socialist rule, when the most powerful officials would appoint their favourites to the most important positions, says Monday's edition of Dnevnik.
