Dnevnik Survey Shows Strong Support for Previous Drnovsek Gov't

Ljubljana, 23 December - A record 70.8 percent of Slovenians supported the policy led by former Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek, shows December's survey published by the Ljubljana-based daily Dnevnik on Monday. Strong support was also given to Slovenia's EU accession (72.6 percent of the surveyed). Moreover, the most respondents (37.2 percent) would vote for the senior government Liberal Democrats (LDS) if parliamentary elections were to take place next Sunday.
