EU Membership Calls for a New Approach, Potocnik Says

Ljubljana, 26 December - Having wrapped up accession negotiations and with full membership of the EU nearing, Slovenia will have to adopt a new concept of functioning. During almost five years of membership talks, its efforts were aimed at one distinct goal, while this would all change upon accession, when membership will become a way of life, rather than a goal. This calls for a new approach, Slovenia's Europe Minister and the chief EU negotiator Janez Potocnik said.
