Slovenia's Electricity Market to Open on 1 January

Ljubljana, 26 December - Slovenia's electricity market will open to foreign electricity suppliers on 1 January 2003, which will allow Slovenian electricity consumers to purchase abroad up to 25 percent of electricity consumed in Slovenia annually. Moreover, the natural gas market will also open up to foreign suppliers next year in line with the energy act and a European directive on natural gas.
