MPs Override National Council's Budget Veto
Ljubljana, 27 December - Upon renewed voting the Parliament adopted the act on implementation of the budgets for 2003 and 2004 on Friday with 51 votes in favour while 17 of the 72 MPs present voted against it. The postponing veto which the National Council adopted on Tuesday has thus been overridden by an absolute majority of the legislators' votes, as required by law.
