Radio Dva Goes on Hunger Strike to Preserve Slovenian Programme in Carinthia

Klagenfurt, 3 February - Employees of the Slovenian minority radio station Radio dva in the Austrian province of Carinthia on Monday went on a week-long hunger strike in a bid to urge for a long-term solution to the radio's troubling financial situation. The move comes after this only round-the-clock radio station for the Slovenian minority stopped receiving funds from the Austrian national broadcaster ORF in January.
