Slovenian Diplomats on EU and NATO Integration, and on Iraq
Brdo pri Kranju, 3 February - The ninth traditional conference of Slovenian diplomats kicked off Monday morning at Brdo pri Kranju, some 25 km north of Ljubljana. The three-day event was introduced by Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, PM Anton Rop and President Janez Drnovsek. In the words of Rupel and Rop, Slovenia is on the threshold of realising two of its most important foreign-policy goals, namely integration in the EU and in NATO. Both officials highlighted the meaning of positive outcome of the forthcoming referendums on EU and NATO accession.
