Mag Says NATO Opponents Have no More Excuse
Ljubljana, 5 February - Opponents of Slovenia's accession to NATO have suffered a severe blow last week as eight European statesmen voiced their support for U.S. policy towards Iraq and as it became clear that the French-German resistance against the Bush Mideast policy could not hold up. A political weekly believes that this disapproved the alibi that could justify Slovenia's seeming second thoughts about NATO and in a way legitimise opponents of membership.
