Slovenia Signs Declaration of Vilnius Group on Iraq

Ljubljana, 5 February - Ten NATO candidates, including Slovenia, associated in the "Vilnius group" since 2000 on Wednesday adopted a declaration in support of U.S. policy toward Iraq. Slovenia, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Albania, Croatia and Macedonia said that U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell proved to the UN Security Council today that Iraq clearly violated UN resolutions. The signatories are also willing to participate in the international coalition for disarmament of Iraq.
