LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's top award in culture, the Preseren Awards, are to be conferred at the 8 PM central ceremony on the eve of Slovenia's Culture Day, a national holiday marking the death of poet France Preseren.

ZELEZNIKI - Slovenia is to host the 14th World Championships on Natural Luge until Sunday. On the first day of the competition, women's singles first run of the race is to be staged around noon.
