Has Slovenia Made Deals with Iraq, Press Wonders

Maribor/Ljubljana, 7 February - According to information presented by U.S. State Secretary Colin Powell on Wednesday in the UN Security Council, Slovenia's companies supposedly negotiated with Iraqi officials in 1999 and 2000 for acquiring magnetic materials along with Romania, India and Russia. The only Slovenian company producing magnetic materials, Iskra Magneti, however, never had contacts with Iraqi clients, sales manager Ales Sokan told Friday's edition of the daily Vecer.
