Architect and Comedian Conferred 2003 Preseren Awards for Lifetime Achievement

Ljubljana, 7 February - The highest national award for lifetime achievement in arts has been conferred upon architect Vojteh Ravnikar and comedian Zlatko Sugman. The award-winning ceremony was held on the eve of Slovenia's Culture Day as part of the official celebration of this bank holiday. Apart from being a great honour, the Preseren Award brings each winner 3.9m tolars or 16,800 euros. The ceremony, which was addressed by the laureate Sugman, was attended by top Slovenian officials and culture figures, including President Janez Drnovsek and Culture Minister Andreja Rihter.
