Talk of Delo Takeover Brings Investors Back to Life for Moment

Ljubljana, 8 February - It was a quiet trading week on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) as investors stayed away from an unpredictable market, preferring to keep up with developments on foreign markets. The market woke up somewhat in the middle of the week, as Slovenia's leading brewer Pivovarna Lasko said it was interested in acquiring leading newspaper house Delo. Buoyed by a possibility of a takeover, the benchmark SBI 20 index managed to finish the week on a positive note, closing 43.37 points higher at 3,349.14 points.
