Defending Champions Successful at World Luge Championships

Železniki, 8 February - Italy's Sonja Steinacher successfully defended her world crown, winning the women's singles event on the second day of the 14th World Natural Track Luge Championship held at the Slovenian ski resort of Soriska planina on Saturday. Meanwhile, the victory in the men's twin competition went to Austria's pair of Wolfgang Schopf and Andreas Schopf, who also headed into today's competition as defending champions.
