Deceased Miners Remembered at Ceremony

Velenje, 10 February - A commemorative session for two miners who died at Thursday's deadly outburst of gas in a mine shaft at the Velenje Coal Mine, northern Slovenia, was held on Monday. Despite modern technology, man is still sometimes overpowered by nature, stressed chair of the mine's board Evgen Dervaric and Minister of the Environment, Spatial Planning and Energy Janez Kopac in their addresses at the ceremony. After the ceremony, the burial took place at the Velenje cemetary.
