Prodi and Rop Confident about a Successful EU Referendum in Slovenia

Brussels, 10 February - European Commission President Romano Prodi and Slovenian Prime Minister Anton Rop on Monday in Brussels expressed their firm belief that the referendum on Slovenia's accession to the EU on 23 March will succeed, enabling the country to sign the Accession Treaty on 16 April and join the Union on 1 May 2004.
