Experts: No Need to Change Referendum Article for EU and NATO Referendums
Ljubljana, 10 February - Law experts sat down Monday to examine changes proposed by the ruling coalition to the constitutional article on the referendum. The changes to article 90 were proposed as part of the coalition's attempts to implement new referendum rules, including those demanded by the opposition for upcoming referendums on NATO and EU membership. However, the group of law experts concluded that the sought changes for NATO and EU referendums could be achieved without an overhaul of article 90.
