UNICEF: 5.4m Iraqis would Require Emergency Assistance in Case of War

Ljubljana, 20 February - The consequences of war in Iraq are rather unpredictable, however, UNICEF has assessed that as many as 5.4 million Iraqis would require emergency assistance. As many as 18 million people would be left without food and five million without potable water, the Regional Director for Europe of the UN children's fund Stephen Woodhouse told a press conference in Ljubljana on Thursday.
