Special Commission to Probe into SIB Disputed Purchase
Ljubljana, 21 February - A commission will be set up to probe into the disputed purchase of the bank SIB, according to a decision taken by the Ljubljana city council at its emergency session early on Friday morning. The best solution for the troubled bank, which is in 80-percent ownership of the Ljubljana municipality through its public utility Energetika, would be a merger with a larger bank or a purchase of the bank's debts by Energetika, the councilors were told.
