Constitution Commission Fails to Come to Final Decision

Ljubljana, 21 February - The parliamentary commission for the Constitution failed to come to a final decision on constitutional changes that would pave the way to Slovenia's membership of the EU and NATO. The commission could not break a deadlock over what the relationship between the government and parliament is to be after EU membership and what procedure would have to be followed if the country wanted to exit from the EU.
