Slovenia's Iskratel Alleged to Have Sold Phone Exchanges to Iraq

Munich, 22 February - A Slovenian telecommunications company has been mentioned in allegations that German electronics giant Siemens has breached the UN embargo against Iraq. The German weekly Focus reported on its website Saturday that prosecutors were investigating the sale of 14 digital telephone exchanges that Siemens is suspected of shipping to Iraq through Slovenia's Iskratel, which is owned by Siemens.
