MPs Ratify Slovenian-Croatian NEK Accord

Ljubljana, 25 February - The Slovenian parliament on Tuesday ratified the Slovenian-Croatian agreement on the status of the jointly-constructed Krsko Nuclear Power Plant (NEK). Ratification of the document was backed by 41 MPs, while 21 were against. Lawmakers also adopted a supplement to the ratification bill, which deals with the handling of radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel.
