No Interpellation Motion Against FM Rupel, SMS Says

Ljubljana, 28 February - The deputy group of Youth Party (SMS) managed to collect only eight out of ten needed MP signatures for an interpellation motion against Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel. The motion stated that by backing the Vilnius declaration in support of U.S. policy on Iraq, Rupel exceeded his powers as foreign minister. Due to the insufficient number of signatories, the interpellation motion will not be filed, the opposition party said Friday.
