Slovenia Will Have to Protect Its Own Air Space, Says Delo

Ljubljana, 5 March - NATO members will have to secure their air space on their own during peace time, so Slovenia will probably need supersonic aeroplanes, which will be very expensive, writes Wednesday's daily. Delo refers to a recent statement by President Janez Drnovsek that NATO membership will be cheaper for Slovenia than independent defence, because Slovenia would not have to buy expensive supersonic aircraft.
