Central Bank Governor Convinced Inflation Target Can Be Met

Ljubljana, 12 March - Forecasts that Slovenia's inflation could stand below four percent within two years are realistic, Bank of Slovenia governor Mitja Gaspari told the daily Delo. The central bank can use interest rates to fight inflation, and, at the same time, tries to apply exchange rate mechanisms so that negative effects of influencing the external balance are mitigated, he told Wednesday's edition of the daily.
