Spar Slovenia Expects to Control 20 Percent of Market by 2004

Ljubljana, 12 March - Spar Slovenia, a subsidiary of the world's largest retail food store chain, Spar of Netherlands, revealed that it had increased sales revenues by 34 percent in 2002 to 71 billion tolars (EUR 306.3m). The market share of Spar on the Slovenian retail market stood at 12.5 percent this year, while the company expects to exceed 20 percent by 2004.
