Slovenian Crew to Take Part in 2004 Dakar Rally
Ljubljana, 13 March - For the first time in history, Slovenia is to have an automobile crew at the Dakar Rally, the most renowned endurance race in the world. Driver Branko Kranjc and co-pilot Barbara Prislan are to drive a Mercedes ML 500 for the German team ORC at the 29th Dakar Rally, in 2004. Slovenia has participated in the Dakar Rally, but only in the motorcycle competition, where Milan Stanovnik finished 17th this year.
