New Waste Treatment Plant to Be Built in NE Slovenia

Slovenska Bistrica, 13 March - Foundations were laid on Thursday for a new waste treatment facility in Slovenska Bistrica, NE Slovenia, which will be constructed with the help of EU's Phare funds. The entire project, which includes the construction of the waste treatment plant and the upgrade of the sewage system, is estimated at SIT 1.24bn (EUR 5.3m), of which the EU has contributed SIT 598m (EUR 2.6m).
