Innovation and Business Incentive Needed to Catch Up with the EU

Ljubljana, 13 March - In order to approach the EU average by 2010, the Slovenian economy would have to grow at least 4.5 percent above the European average each year, Slovenian Economics Minister Tea Petrin told Thursday's panel discussing the competitive ability of the Slovenian economy upon EU accession. This can be achieved, she said, provided that there is more innovation and business incentive in Slovenia.
