Conditions of Slovenia's EU Entry Set Down in Accession Treaty
Ljubljana, 15 March - The terms and conditions under which Slovenia is to join the EU are precisely laid out in the Accession Treaty, which the EU and the ten newcomers are to sign in Athens on 16 April. The conditions are a result of five-year negotiations that wrapped up in Copenhagen in December 2002. Slovenian citizens will say whether they agree with the terms at the referendum on 23 March. If they vote for EU entry, they will give the green light for the signing of the Accession Treaty.
