Slovenia to Receive EUR 244m of EU Funds in First Three Years
Ljubljana, 15 March - According to financial provisions of Slovenia's EU membership, which were agreed upon at the Copenhagen summit in December 2002, Slovenia will receive EUR 244 million more funds than it will pay into the common budget in the three years following accession, that is from 1 May when it enters the EU, to the end of 2006, when the current financial period expires.
