Five Banks Interested in SIB Bank Takeover
Ljubljana, 18 March - Three Slovenian and two foreign banks have expressed an interest in the purchase of a majority stake of the troubled Slovenska investicijska banka (SIB). As head of the expert commission for the SIB sell-off Alenka Znidarsic Kranjc told a Tuesday press conference, the banks are Slovenia's NLB, NKBM and Abanka Vipa as well as Austria's Bank fuer Kaernten und Steiermark and Italy's Banka di Cividale.
