Drnovsek: Effects of Iraq Attack on NATO Referendum beyond Slovenia's Powers
Ljubljana, 18 March - Slovenian President Janez Drnovsek would "feel bad" if Slovenia stayed outside NATO, since Slovenia is in the vicinity of the "very unstable area of SE Europe, where crises are still possible". The only reason why the upcoming NATO referendum could fail, despite the recent surge in support for membership, could be the new situation regarding the Iraqi crisis, Drnovsek said in a radio interview on Tuesday.
