Target Inflation 3.1 Percent above EU Average, Says Finance Minister

Portoro┼ż, 19 March - The target for 2003 is to have end-year inflation of 3.1 percent above the EU's inflation rate, Finance Minister Dusan Mramor told Wednesday's conference on modern methods in accounting, finance and auditing. Mramor thus veered away from the previously announced target inflation of 5.2 percent, quoting uncertain global economic trends and the growing oil price as the main factors affecting the assessment.
