Iraq War: Evacuation of Slovenians Worst-Case Scenario, Says Foreign Ministry
Ljubljana, 20 March - The latest data available at the Slovenian Foreign Ministry say that there were 269 Slovenian citizens in the Middle East two weeks ago, 19 of them in Iraq. As STA was told Thursday by Vlasta Valencic Pelikan of the ministry, all Slovenian citizens have been urged to leave the region before the war, however it is difficult to assess how many of them actually left, as these people do not report to the Foreign Ministry or Slovenian embassies in the region.
