Planica Ski Jumps to Proceed as Planned Despite Iraq Crisis

Planica, 20 March - The Ski-Jumping World Cup Finals, taking place in Slovenia's Planica until Sunday, will not be affected by the Iraq war, STA was told by Walter Hofer, director of ski jumping competitions at the World Skiing Federation (FIS). The Slovenian skiing association has provided the guarantee that the competition will not be exposed to security risks, said Hofer, adamant that the competition would go ahead as planned regardless of the attack on Iraq.
