Planica: Hautamaeki Wins Season's Last Ski Jumps Contest
Planica, 23 March - Finland's Matti Hautamaeki is the winner of Sunday's last contest of the season at the Ski Jumping World Cup Finals in Slovenia's Planica. Breaking a world record with 231 metres in the first series, Hautamaeki flew 224 metres in the second series. Placing second was German Sven Hannawald (214.5 and 217 metres), while Japan's Hideharu Miyahira was third (209 and 213.5 metres).
