EU/NATO Vote: President Drnovsek Says Referendum Results Are "Good and Convincing"
Ljubljana, 23 March - Slovenian President Janez Drnovsek is very glad about the outcome of the EU and NATO referendums, he said in a respose to the first projections of the results. "This is a very good and convincing result," he said, happy that Slovenians were able to make the "right and responsible decision". Both results are convincing, especially the EU poll, he said. Projections of TV Slovenija suggest that over 90 percent of voters backed EU accession, while about 60 percent voted for NATO entry.
